The Italian versions of movie posters are my favorites!
Great composition and they colorize everything! Red
uniforms? Pink dress on Altaira? I have many more of
these great European posters to add very shortly....
I love these great old drive-in movie
theatre advertisements. This one's for
The Invisible Boy.
Best know of all the FP posters is this baby. Colors
can really range depending on condition and
exposure to elements. But a real quality print will
look bright blue with great yellow highlights
Another great version and one of my favorites. Alas,
mine is a giant 4' x 5'  digital print that was a gift from
a leading digital lab who is a client. But I've seen the
original at Bob Lesser's place and it will knock your
socks off!
1972 Re-release poster for The Invisible Boy is clearly
targeted to the children's market. Different from the image
of Robby on the rampage as in the original 1957 release!
The Invisible Boy. MGM made this
cheapie B&W film just to get their
money out of the cost of the Robby
suit. At a cost of $125,000.00 in 1956,
it might have been the single most
expensive prop MGM ever built!
Great poster of the artwork from the
Mechanized Robot box. They really
should have made a red one!
Can you believe how violent & destructive our beloved Robby
looks in this poster! He's crushing a guy to death in his hand! I
love this poster!
Here we have the same basic poster from the Belgium
release but notice how the innocent victim of Robby's rage
has been removed from the artwork? Clearly a more civilized
version....
Great Italian version of Invisible Boy
with a terrified lady. Funny, I don't
remember Robby attacking any women
inthis movie.
This poster reminds me of one of
my worst buying experiences. Got
it from a dealer for a LOT of
money only to find out later it was
a common re-print that could be
found on line for about $12.00.
Oh, well. It happens to the best of
us sometimes!! But it is a cool
presentation of Robby in 7
different variations from all of his
film & TV appearances. Some
sights still advertise this as a copy
of a 1956 MGM blueprint which is
impossible since some of these
changes to Robby weren't done for
another 10 years! Soon will post
pics under the Props page of 16"
models of all of these Robby
variations built by John Rigg!
