One of the most impressive Robby robots is Door Robot.
Called Door for the clever little front door panel that would
allow the owner to easily replace the main light bulb should
it burn out. The gears under the dome revolve in one
direction as the entire head spins in the opposite direction!
With a twirling effect in the mouth area. Turn out the lights
and fire Door Robot up and be amazed at how beautiful
this robot is! Stands about 10 inches tall. Shown with
original box.
Super rare burgundy version of Planet Robot is one
of only two that I know of and both were  originally in
European collections. Finish is a cool textured coat
sort of like that on Radicon robot. Thanks to my good
friend Steve Jaspen who helped me to aquire this
gem. Steve had first bought to my attention that this
robot existed many years ago and it was always a
great topic of conversation for us.
Robot Space Car with red Robby driver from the Griff
collection. Even came with the original floating foam
balls. So what the hell did Griff do with the dam box!
Not really sure (don't think anyone is) as to what the
thing on the back of the car is supposed to be but I
tell people it's a nuclear power supply!
V-3 Robby Space Tank by Yoshinya. Great colorful
graphics on this crank-action tank. There's also another
version with different litho details and a
Battery-Operated version with a lighted Robby called the
V-2. Additional photos of both with the original boxes
coming soon.
Here's the matching Space Robot Car with gold
Robby driver. Also from same Griff collection. Again
pristine, but no box. Curses on you, Griff! Lighted
reactor on rear with pumping machine guns. Very
cool toy! Second shot if the beautiful original box I
got from Ozzie's Robots.  Thanks Oz!
Non-Stop Space Patrol Saucer by Masudaya featuring a
beautiful litho Robby on the side. There several of these
in a series but this is my favorite because of Robby. I got
this MIB example from Toni at Zoomer Toys after
upgrading from one dented specimen to another over
the years. Then I was able to find the always missing
saucer top-ring that keeps the floating ball in place. Will
post new pics of now complete saucer shortly.
Not an actual toy, but too awesome
to not be included is this vintage box
of colored art pencils with Robby on
the cover! Got this from collector
Paul Lipps in Italy before he sold off
his collection at the famous Christie's
Auction House. Thanks, Paul!
Can you guess why there's a Ray Gun here? Look closely at the box
artwork and you'll see a tiny red Robby the Robot on the cover! Only
item ever produced by Horikawa relating to the original Robby. Gee, I
hope Robby wasn't the intended target!
The only official licensed toy ever
made based on Forbidden Planet
is this Electric Remote Control
Space Ship. It's English and
actually an existing toy that was
re-packaged from what my
research says. Doesn't look
anything like the C-57D but rather
like a whirly-bird on a balancing
beam. But the box is what makes it
so rare as it's not only licensed but
has the names of the cast and
movie on the front. Originally got
this from Steve Canning at
Cybertoyz  many years ago and for
a few years it resided in the Robot
Hut with John Rigg. Nice to have it
back home again. Like the ray gun
above, it's all about the box on this
one.
Can you guess what
this is a great shot
of? Planet Robots,
prehaps?

Nope.

Minty Moon Explorer
astronauts which
have since been
removed from the
collection for not
being pure Robby
robots but
half-breed cousins?

Nope.

Guess again....

Give up?.......
It's a line-up of cool Robby Gumball Charms! 9 Robots and 6 Space Ships with mini-Robbys
inside! And two soft Robby erasers to the left at the end!
